Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FreelanceFlow ("the Service"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

FreelanceFlow is a financial management platform for UK freelancers, contractors, and self-employed professionals. Features may be added, modified, or removed over time. The Service is currently in active development, and certain features are provided on an "as is" basis as part of an ongoing MSc research project.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any other authentication credentials (including multi-factor authentication secrets and backup codes). You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorised access to your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any other user's account or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Submit false or misleading financial data with intent to deceive HMRC or any other authority
  • Use automated means to access the Service outside of any documented public API

4. Not regulated financial advice

Information presented by FreelanceFlow (including IR35 assessments, cash flow forecasts, and tax estimates) is for informational purposes only and does not constitute regulated financial, tax, or legal advice. You should consult a qualified accountant, tax adviser, or solicitor before making material decisions based on Service outputs.

5. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, FreelanceFlow is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for direct damages shall not exceed the amounts you have paid to us in the preceding 12 months, or £100, whichever is greater.

6. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Data → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, following any notice period required by law.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
